The Metaphorical Progress Vine

So, this vine started growing out of the floor in our language classroom during our first week of class – coincidentally in front of a jungle scene wallpaper.  Instead of just pulling it, Bakyt let it grow to represent our language progress, but also just to see how big it would get.  Now that we’re in the last week of language class, it’s done some pretty impressive growing.  I pointed out that the fact that the vine is bumping into the ceiling has some disconcerting implications for our metaphor, but the rest of the group is convinced it’s going to keep right on growing through the roof.  Whether or not it does, it’s still kind of neat.
